With over 20 years in the financial planning industry, Kevin is the visionary and co-founder of Pacific Rim Legacy Group LLC and has served over 500 families. As a Certified Wealth Strategist, he is passionate about helping clients pursue financial freedom in retirement by implementing custom-built strategies tailored to their individual needs. As a former pastor, Kevin also understands and values the importance of connecting with each client on a personal level to better guide them towards their financial goals.
Kevin graduated from San Jose State University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He also holds the professional designation of Certified Wealth Strategist (CWS) along with Life & Health Insurance licenses and his Securities registrations (Series 6,7,9/10,26,63,65 & 99).
In addition to his success in the financial industry, Kevin is also a 8th degree black belt in judo, President of Hawaii Judo, Inc., and the Executive Instructor at the Leeward & Honolulu Judo Clubs. In 2019 he was recognized by the Government of Japan with the Foreign Minister’s Certificate of Commendation, which awards those who made outstanding contributions to the promotion of friendly relations between Japan and the United States. He is a motivational speaker and author of his 2008 autobiography, “Step Onto the Mat”, which highlights his discipline and journey to becoming an Olympic Silver Medalist at the 1988 Summer Olympics.
With all of life’s blessings, Kevin is most grateful to be a husband to wife, Mari and father to their five children. Kevin and his wife both serve as lay ministers for their church. His whole family is active in Judo, with his three older daughters as black belts and his two younger sons following in his footsteps. Together, the family frequently travels to Japan for ministry, judo and visiting family.
